Cusworth Hall, Museum & Park continues to blossom
Staff celebrated an exciting year in the life of Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park following its official reopening last year, with the opening of the Rose Garden on Thursday 8 May.
Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park is one of the Borough's historical and cultural gems. Visitors have experienced a great deal at Cusworth over the last year, including the highly popular Spice Girls exhibition and can look forward to an equally action packed programme of events for the remainder of 2008.
The official opening of the Rose Garden by Mayor Martin Winter, marks the continued dedication to the ongoing preservation of this magnificent estate for future generations to enjoy for many years to come. Last May the Grade I Georgian country house re-opened its doors for the first time since the estate had undergone an award-winning £7.5 million restoration project.
The opening of Lady Isabella's Garden, named in honour of a rose garden known to have been on site during the time of Lady Isabella Battie-Wrightson's residence, marks the first anniversary of the official re-opening following refurbishments to the estate.
