Mount Pleasant Hotel receives "Premier" status
Following a number of successful audits at the four star Best Western Mount Pleasant Hotel in Doncaster, Best Western is pleased to announce its addition to the groups ‘Premier' portfolio. With only two hotels achieving this status outside of London, the hotel now proudly holds the title as Yorkshire's only ‘Premier' hotel.
Now known as the Best Western Premier Mount Pleasant Hotel, this property has been in the McIlroy family for 71 years and had three generations of ownership. With a total of 56 bedrooms, of which over half have lounge areas, the hotel boasts mud beds, sleigh beds, four and even five posters.
The Premier status is the highest accolade to be achieved from the Best Western group - with only a further five hotels making it past the stringent assessments. To achieve the status the hotel has been working hard to ensure that every first impression creates the ‘wow factor' associated with a Premier hotel.

Refurbishments, renovations and established local links had to be created in order to achieve Premier. This included a half a million pound reception and lounge area created with a Premier design look and feel in mind, including handmade chandeliers. A selection of bedrooms have also been refurbished with upgraded flooring and cosmetic details. The hotel has also expanded their leisure facilities with beauty treatments and established links with a local gym, golf at a nearby club and horse riding.
