Horseshoe Lake's main attraction is the silver lake and the mixed coarse fish lake with double figure carp. The Caravan Park is situated within an orchard.

Close by is the Rother Valley Country Park, offering water sports, ie sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and cycle hire. There is also golf. A short drive away there is the Tropical Butterfly House with exotic birds and reptiles. There is also nature walking on the Chesterfield Canal.

If traveling north or south on the M1, leave at junction 31 A57, Sheffield/Worksop. Head for Sheffield on the A57 along Aston Way.
At the first round-a-bout take the first exit left sign posted A618 Mansfield. Turn left at traffic lights on the B6059 to Kiveton until you see the Lord Conyers Arms.
Turn left along Manor Road, Wales. Forge Road is the third road on the right, it takes you onto the site.
