Bents Farm is situated in the quiet hamlet of Totley Bents on the fringe of the Peak District and south-west of Sheffield. The amenities of both are just a short 15 minute drive away. The farm is a working beef farm which has been in the same family for three generations.

The Farm offers 2 holiday cottages to let.

Swallow Cottage is located at the end of the driveway to Bents Farm, this beautiful stone built barn was converted recently into a delightful holiday cottage. Retaining all its original charm, this stylishly decorated well-equipped property easily accommodates four adults.

The property enjoys uninterrupted views of the surrounding fields and rural landscape and is proving to be a popular retreat for visitors to the area.

You enter the property into the main hall with wooden flooring which continues throughout the downstairs area. Off the entrance hall is the spacious bathroom with bath/power-shower, basin, toilet and bidet.

Also on the ground floor is a well-equipped kitchen/dining area. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, hob, oven and microwave.

Off the kitchen/diner is the comfortable lounge with stone fireplace and log burning stove, colour TV, video and hi-fi.

The stairs from the lounge lead to two fully carpeted bedrooms, both with vaulted beamed ceilings, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Each delightful room has a hand-basin and shaver point.

The cottage is centrally heated throughout and charges include heating, power and logs. Duvets, linen and towels are provided. A cot and high chair are available on request. There is also garden furniture and a barbeque.

The Sett has been recently converted into a holiday cottage, this barn conversion is extremely spacious and has beamed ceilings upstairs. You enter the property through an entrance porch which leads into a large farmhouse style dining kitchen with Stanley cooker. From the kitchen, doors lead into an inner hall and a large lounge, with views over the countryside and garden.

Ample off road parking is available at the front of both properties.

By Road:
Leave Ml at Jnc 29 (Chesterfield A617).
Follow A617 until roundabout- turn right (following signs for Chesterfield Town Centre). At the next roundabout go straight on through a set of traffic lights and passing the Chesterfield Crooked Spire Church on your left. Go straight on through the next 2 set of ltraffic lights following the signpost for Barlow B6051. Continue straight on this road through the villages of Barlow and Milthorpe for approximately 5 miles. At the Owler Bar Roundabout follow the signs for Sheffield A621. After approx 1 mile, passed a row of cottages, turn left on to Hillfoot Road (signposted Dore) Follow this road downhill until you arrive at the Crown Inn- turn immediate left after the pub (Penny Lane). Follow this lane uphill past Cricket Inn (on left), Swallow Cottage is facing you (second drive on the right after pub)
