Step back in time for Conference 21 Co-ordinator Becky Stanyard

Early Education Sheffield recently chose Sheffield Hallam University as a venue for its national conference. The conference brought together early years professionals from all over the country to focus on young children's learning. The organisers wanted to showcase Sheffield as a vibrant and progressive place to be which is why they chose Sheffield Hallam University (Conference 21), the Winter Gardens and the Millennium Galleries.

The conference was a step back in time for Conference 21 Co-ordinator Becky Stanyard who started out her career working with children in the outdoors, delivering training and organising courses for Early Years' practitioners. Becky said "Working on and supporting the conference made me miss how rewarding it is to teach children and see the results. It was a fantastic event that was enjoyed by all who attended. There was a real buzz after the event"

Becky worked closely with the Conference organiser, Di Chilvers, Early Years Foundation Stage Regional Adviser for Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the event which was held in the University's Pennine Lecture theatre and adjacent Atrium.

The conference attracted a range of people and professionals from all over the UK including Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Channel Islands.
